November 15, 2008 08:57 PM He looks to the future.

Monmouth has got me so mad burnt out. It's so hard to build up a desire to actually go and get work done anymore for the education classes that I hate. It makes me sad, cause I am so close and I want to finish strong. But. It's. So. Hard. To. Care. For realz.

In the Spring of 2010, I'll finish my student teaching. It'll be a glorious day and then I can move on with my life with a job and actually start dating. This gives me at least a year and a half with a job before the world ends, as predicted by the Mayans back in SomethingorAnother B.C.

I lifted today. I have a plan to start working out every day again. Let's see if I can start following through on this promise. On WW I've now lost 4 pounds. I was hoping to be further along by now, but I let myself be bad for two weeks. Now I am getting back on this point counting horse.

I sometimes think I might want to learn how to fly, but other times I'm like "you get distracted driving and the plane thing is more scary."

November 13, 2008 05:41 PM Gavin Newsom: A mayor who rocks... next Gov. of California?!

This is the man who started it all. He's the one who opened the doorways when he started marrying people in San Francisco on February 12th, 2004. It brought the whole thing to a boil. A month later, Massachusetts became the first US state to take a stand for gays and legalize marriage for ALL PEOPLE (now Connecticut has followed suit). He's a straight ally in a time when we desperately need more.

And so you know... I don't think I am going to stop anytime soon. Fight the H8te.

San Diego's Republican mayor, Jerry Sanders, gives his own tearful support of marriage equality for all Americans. He did it for his daughter Lisa, which makes his change that much more powerful. If every bigot in the world could realize that they are hurting humans, not "sexual deviants" or "others", maybe we would be in a better place. His stance did not hurt his re-election bid and he became mayor once more in 2008.

The biggest ally we have in California: The Governator, Ahnold.

Remember, Remember the 15th of November. Fight the H8te.

National Protest Against Prop 8

Fight the H8 in Your State
It's this Saturday. Anyone in New Jersey want to help me throw something together in Asbury Park? I just think there would be a far better turn out if we went to the city that is most likely to celebrate our diversity.

November 9, 2008 10:18 PM A quickie.

Protests are being put together for November 15th, nationwide, to rail against Prop 8. While I find Prop 8 to be horrible (how can we take away rights after giving them?), even worse was the law that Arkansas passed that bars ANY nonmarried couple from adopting. I hope those kids in foster care are adopted by every single person who voted yes on that prop... and we all know that's not going to happen. How sick to deny a child the possibility of a home, be it with a single parent, a gay couple, or even an unmarried straight couple. Regardless, stand up for equality this coming Saturday!! Oh, and I've now written sixteen episodes of FreeBoro / The Winding Road. Will someone give me at least a little feedback?!?! ;)
