Burris.
After election night, one of the most disgraceful things has been the inability for governors of various states to apointment replacements for Obama and some of his apointees. Specifically I am speaking of the Illinois and New York mess. Seriously, Kennedy out of nowhere was never going to fly and she threatened to become the Democrat's Sarah Palin. Senator isn't as lofty a posistion as Vice President, but there still comes some credibility with it. You should have put in some form of political time before arriving in Washington. It's not something that should just be given out to anyone, is what I'm saying. But man... Illinois just keeps getting messier and messier. Now Burris admits that he
tried to raise money for Blagovich. If this is a real admittance on his part to wrongdoing, then get the man out of office. He was a willing participant in the circus surrounding his appointment; he arrived at Washington to force his recognition after already being informed that he wouldn't receive it.
The man has attempted to play himself off as a victim, but he is coming off as a buffoon. He wanted to participate in pay-for-play politics to get a Senate seat. This a man who has lost multiple chances to make it to the center stage (including governership) under his own power. So he went the backdoor route, with a corrupt politician leading the way, and then he wonders why people are upset about it? Seriously?
